People with hearing difficulties have the challenge of learning compounded by background noise. To help, Williams Sound developed the HEARING HELPER Personal FM System. Similar to 300E Personal FM Systems, the 350E is designed to broadcast the speaker’s voice directly to the ears of individual listener. While the speaker wears a compact transmitter and microphone, listeners use portable receivers and earphones to hear the speaker clearly and easily, even from the back of the classroom. The PFM 350 includes an R31 receiver, which features a sensitive environmental microphone: this gives the listener more flexibility on what they want to hear. By turning on the environmental mic, they can listen to a nearby person speak more clearly.
